YMCA Information

Hello Welch Swim Team, 

Practice Schedules, group descriptions, and pricing schedule will be available on our team website by the end of the first week in September. That website can be found here: https://www.teamunify.com/Home.jsp?team=ymca-5938   

Registration
All registrations for the team will happen at the front desk of the YMCA. The front desk will have a list of swimmers that were either on the team last year and placed in a training group, or if they are new have been evaluated and placed in a group. The front desk member will not register a swimmer for the team that is not on that list. 

Evaluations
All new swimmers coming to SCAY must have a brief 5-10 minute evaluation before registering for the team. This evaluation can be set up by emailing me directly, jblesh@ymcaocc.org. After the evaluation, new swimmers to the team can register and practice on September 18th 2017. 

Swim Clinic for NEW Swimmers
We will have a clinic for new swimmers on September 11th-15th from 5-6pm. This clinic is only for new swimmers who have not been on a year round competitive team before, excluding summer league. During this time swimmers will get a feel for what being on the team, as well as direct instruction from me and our coaching staff. This free clinic will count as an evaluation for placement for the team and another evaluation will not need to be scheduled.
We will cap the amount of swimmers in this clinic to 40, and  swimmers ages 7-12 can register at this link: https://ops1.operations.daxko.com/programs/redirector.aspx?cid=2025&pid=78822&sid=2240272 

After we hit our limit of 40 swimmers we will be taking a wait list in case any swimmers drop out of the clinic.
